Psalm 120:1 NLT
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.
A lot of people will begin another semester of school tomorrow. Some will start another week at work or and some will be blessed to live another day to fulfill your dreams. All of these things can be very stressful and quite frankly annoying once they become tiring and routine.
I am the college student, well I was, the student who thought I could do everything and be everywhere at the same time. If i wasn’t in class I was in tutoring if I wasn’t doing that I was in a meeting and preceding that meeting I would have 2 more meetings to follow and somewhere in between I would feed my face and then I would have to work out and finally I would engage in the many pages that await me to read and last minute assignments I decided to do the night of. 😦
Yeah, hot mess and I still do it to this day and feel like I’m bored when I have the chance to rest! I know there are numerous “busy bodies” out there.
Ripping and running. If you aren’t at work your taking care of your child(ren), working out, being a good wife or husband, doing anything for someone in your family, being that call on friend that never says no to people even when you know you have plenty other things to do. Just always going and you cant help it because its you! 🙂
In the mist of all the things we do day in and day out we all have the tendency to be superwoman or superman when
we do not have to. Sometimes we try to do everything knowing we can’t; or we get an assignment or task that we feel we can not complete and forget the most important thing. Its not our battle alone. We let things pile up and pile up and wonder how am i going to complete this or OMG i have so much to do and God is just looking at us like hey im here. He doesn’t want us to be doing it all by ourselves. Honestly God is pushed out of the picture unknowingly and as you see in the verse he wants us to come to him, we are his children who he adore and loves and as we know he would do anything for. Don’t allow the little things or the biggest things work you up and bring you down. Cry out to your Father. He is waiting and ready to lead you and give to you.
Through this week, the semester and year just remember to cry out to the Lord. He will answer every prayer in the right timing. No one knows or have to hear your cry or needs but the Lord. Just don’t forget to go to him. Go to him when you are having a great day that you just want to shout. Go to him when your day is okay but not the best but you know you are still blessed and sane. Go to him when troubles are making you weary and you just don’t know when the next move will be or how.
He will make a way out of
no way and will show us the light when there is nothing but darkness. Sending many blessings to all followers and praying for this week to be in your favor. Have a great one!
College students start the semester how you want to end. The first days or week cant be taken lightly. Establish your momentum now! And get your mind and professors use to your determination. Give yourselves goals and stick with them for classes, organizations and working out. Don’t put off for tomorrow what can be done today!
